Flosstradamus is on my list of favorite artists for sure. J2K & Autobot reign from Chicago, IL and they do nothing but straight destroy the trap. This is their song, “Roll Up” remixed by Bauuer. Get some.
The four Frenchmen of Dirtyphonics are giving this tune, “French Fuck VIP“ for free. Also throwing their “Mystery Mix‘ in; this 30 minute mix is killer!
These guys are so good live, I don’t even know what to say. The four of them get down so hard, straight raggggeeeee. Slammin on there beat machines, stage diving and just straight killing it. I saw them at Sunset Music Festival down in Tampa, FL when I was visiting home earlier this summer. They played alongside acts such as Alesso, Datsik, Pretty Lights and more; and I easily had the most fun at their set! Download this free track, and go see these guys live if you can.
Here it is! The newest album from our homey Malakai titled “Reflections of Night and Day.” At the young age of eighteen, Malakai is already putting together amazing tracks. He mixes fresh downtempo beats laced with his live guitar. Dude is going to be doing big things in the future. Malakai is moving to NYC to attend NYU in the fall to major in Music Technology! So keep a close eye on him, and don’t miss him if he plays a show near you!
Malakai will be celebrating the release of his album in Breckenridge, CO tomorrow night at three20south playing along side with The Malah! Come out and party with us, it’s going to be a great time!! This will also be Malakai’s last performance in CO for awhile since he’s moving to NYC.
Skrillex’s lightning fast climb to fame has opened doors to music opportunities I never would have imaged a couple years ago when we originally started following this outlandish master of cacophony. “Trung” is a far cry from most other Skrillex tracks. The characteristic dubstep percussion line and Skrllex’s signature sine wave massacre are absent; honestly, I’m not missing them. DC hip hop artist Wale graces Trung with some pretty cool flows and compliments the relatively aggro beat nicely. Words are cheap when it comes to music so go ahead and give “Trung” a nice long listen.

So, the poster explains it all. If you’re in COLORADO and want to rage next weekend (27/28th) with the likes of Ana Sia, Michal Menert and Eliot Lipp then you best be making it up to State Bridge. If you’ve never been here, I have to tell you this venue is completely gorgeous. The amphitheater rests next to the Colorado River; surrounded by cabins, yurts, teepees and campgrounds. it doesn’t get much better than this place, it’s easily one of my favorite venues i’ve ever been to! Grassroots California will be in attendance and bringing their DOME! Don’t expect music to end at the normal time, we’re going into the wee hours of the morning! Cheaaaa!!! I (trent) will be in attendance, come say whatup, i’ll be up by the yurts or in the venue all weekend! (unless i’m floating the river or just wandering around looking at clouds!) I can’t wait to get down with all of my Colorado (and out of town) Family!
Here is the schedule for the 2 nights (not including late night sets)

Here is four brand new tracks from the homeys OG Status! The group is comprised of Julian AKA Candyman of Crushendo, Clark from DYNOHUNTER and Colby Buckler of Two Fresh. These guys are throwing down dirty beats strewn with dope rap lyrics, and live they’re bringing the heat with Colby’s drums and Clark’s sax. Shit is fire, and I have a feeling these guys are going to catch on in the scene very fast. They opened for Michal Menert last night at the Boulder Theater, and I can tell you they did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see where OG Status goes, I think by this time next year they might just be on the festival circuit!

Chillwave. According to Wikipedia, Chillwave, also known as glo-fi, is an electronic music genre that is characterized by artists who have a heavy use of effects processing, synthesizers, looping, sampling, and heavily filtered vocals with simple melodic lines. The genre combines the larger 2000s trends towards 80s retro music and (in indie music) use of ambient sound, with modern pop, as in electropop, post-punk revival, psych-folk, nu gaze, and witch house.
Whatever it is, Koi has made some extremely melodic, sweet sounding songs and released them on the Maelstrom album. Maelstrom is available for free (name your own price) on Koi’s band camp page.
You need to listen to the entire track to get snared by the super chill vibes. The other thing about this album is that every song is dope, seriously… all of them are sick. It’s in your best interest to download the entire thing at the band camp link above. Make sure to head over to Koi’s Facebook page and do the “like” thing as well.
Happy 4th of July folks!! Today you should be drinking beers, eating grillables, lighting fireworks, and paying homage to the grand ole’ USA. The boys over at Colorado Ski Shop found this video the other day and I think it warranted a post on PTSL. After watching the (awesome video) I did some digging and found the track which is a solid, true dub step remix. Nostalgia has remixed “Knights of Cydonia” perfectly. The video is a MUST SEE. Happy 4th!

I have no idea why I haven’t posted about the homey D.V.S* yet. But, it is now time! D.V.S* aka Derek VanScoten resides in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve been a fan since the first time I saw him perform. He has a wonderful energy that he radiates through the crowd, and to be frank he fucking rips the guitar. His style summed up in my head is basically dope/beautiful beats laced with glorious guitar riffs.
If you like these few songs you should follow the link to his soundcloud and facebook where you’ll find more free music, and his albums that are for purchase. Enjoy!
