Get ready for “Rocksteady.” A fast tempo and melodic synth line (with a late cowbell addition) makes “Rocksteady” by the Bloody Beetroots an instant winner in my book. Just bump it…
You can pick “Rocksteady” up on iTunes here.
It’s been far too long since we’ve heard from the boys of Lazerdisk Party Sex. Their remixes are ALWAYS top notch and far more elaborate than other remix artists work. Lazerdisk Party Sex upped the ante with their remix of Justice’s Helix – the track is good. Really good.
You would be doing yourself a large in-JUSTICE (pun intended) by not listening to this track. Happy Saturday.
Weird, Dillon Francis drops another bomb. This time Dillon is gracious and lets us grab it for free (from the Soundcloud stream below.) You’ve got to love the very gradual crescendo from melodic chill to screeching banger. Dillon’s two cents on the track: ” Here’s my VIP version of IDGAFOS… I hope you guys enjoy it.. I made it cause i wanted to have a version to open with that had no drums just a very nice melodic beginning with a better build I think I achieved that…I also didn’t change the drop cause there was no better drop i could think of..maybe in time I will make a 3.0 but I doubt it haha love you all.
We recognize a wide variety of talent on PTSL. With hundreds of submissions a week and super tight music being released daily it’s difficult to pick out the most promising, up and coming acts. The Elevated Artist series will highlight artists that the PTSL crew thinks displays skill that transcends others and talent that we think will explode. We call em’, you dig em’… done and done.
R/D has been gaining momentum lately. Releasing a super tight album and creating a successful “Pair of Arrows” side project (previously highlighted on PTSL HERE) with Swan is just the tip of the iceberg. Bay Crush is the title of R/D’s latest album and is worth every penny… be sure to pick it up here. It’s a four track EP that will leave your jaw gaping and ear drums resonating.
The track below is a remix R/D put together of Loyal Divides “Vision, Vision.” The original version of “Vision Vision” is rad, a more low end, chill track for sure. R/D put the proverbial musical jumper cables on it and made it into an pretty intense electro banger.

This next two tracks are off of R/D’s Bay Crush and are just as righteous as the track above. They are both R/D originals and carry a level of deep intensity that I think a lot of you are going to vibe to. As with a lot of tracks we post, I strongly recommend you listen to these songs from start to finish… and as loud as your can tolerate. We aren’t going to put them up for download as we want to support R/D’s financial future so he can continue generating these ill type tracks – download Bay Crush Here.
Despite having followed NiT GriT for some time, I’ve never actually featured him on PTSL. This track, “Pizza Party” is certainly unique and is probably one of the more quintessential dubstep tracks we’ve posted in a long while. “A spectacular combination of NiT GriT’s legendary sound-design and exemplary melodicism is flawlessly fused with Stephan Jacobs fierce break-down style and intricate, inter-galactic progressions to form “Game Over”, by far the best track to emerge from this outstanding Dubstep collaboration. Bridging the gap between Glitch, IDM, Dubstep, and “Bass Music” in general, NiT GriT and Stephan Jacobs stand strong as two of the industries most exciting rising artists.”
Always stoked to post about a Colorado Native, I give you the James Egbert remixes of a couple Blood on the Dance Floor tracks. Blood on The Dance floor is an… odd phenomena. I would never dream of posting one of their original track on this blog as their sound is a little too… fruity(?) for my liking. That said, I bite my tongue because James Egbert has turned two lame tracks into couple of extremely hard hitting rippers.
James Egbert does a nice job of staying true to the catchy melodies from the original Blood on the Dance floor tracks and removes the ulta emo, shitty, poppyness out of them by injecting the tracks with some good ole fashioned face melting progressive house vibes.
We can’t give these tracks away so if you want to download them you’ll have to snag them from beatport in from the Soundcloud streams below.
You guys loved Skrillex’s “Kyoto” ft Sirah that we posted several weeks ago… if you thought the original was dope wait until you hear the remix put together by TYR. I love most of the TYR’s version of Kyoto, though I will say there area portions of the track where it sounds like TYR tried too hard at bringing up the intensity levels. I do, however, love the super sped up segments towards the end of the track and the regular, bouncy verses, are super ILL.
I get a lot of requests for sets that people can just press play at a party on on their iPods and get after it… this is one of those sets. The Soundmen have produced/remixed some pretty awesome tracks so I was stoked to see them drop this live set on Soundcloud. There is enough Drake and Lil Wayne in the set to keep the main-streamers pleased and the flow of the set is spot on. You can listen to the entire set or download it below. Check the Soundmen out here.

Sam Adams drops Into The Wild, the pre-album hosted by Jayceeoh… below are our favorite tracks off of his album. Take special note of Midnight Run where Sam Adams rhymes over Flux Pavillion’s remix of “Midnight Run” a track you guys went crazy over when we posted it a few months ago.
Countdowns? Best of Lists? Year end recaps? Nah, none of these things are up our sleeves… we’ll let the other music websites take care of that for you. Instead, we have a couple treats for your 2012 new years eve. The first track is Skrillex’s “Summit” featuring Ellie Goulding remixed by none other than our boy Aylen. The track is a BANGER – dont be fooled by the mellow portions of the track… the drops are huge and full of energy. Aylen released this bad boy just in time for your epic evening.
The next track by Glasswork is simple and sweet, “Unfinished Love” has a great mix of vibes, featuring chandelier-shaking toms and a sweet hands-in-the-air synth melody. It’s a very promising debut from a young producer who has already proven his mettle (to me anyways).

Remember, tonight is your night to get ROWDY! Be safe and have a blast folks! Cheers!
I’m guilty. I’m still super behind on my emails and Soundcloud inboxm and was lucky to stumble upon this track in the loaded up mess that I’ve neglected to mind. I will, eventually, straighten my shit back out and get on top of my game – once work calms down a little bit. If its not work thats been contributing to my slacked off email game then its ski season… the snow has been super shitty but I’ve still been rocking hard (a lot of you can sympathize with me there.)
Alas, the tunes will still flow and your eyes will continue to be opened to the dankness. The Beatnox are new to PTSL, their track “Chick Habit” is definitly super dope and falls right in my comfort zone. “Chick Habit” is relatively bouncy for a dubstep track, loud, and slightly chaotic. New years is a stone’s throw away and this track arrived just in time for the playlist I will be bumping when the ball drops. Make sure to show some love and check out the Beatnox on facebook.

This is one of those “ummm” tracks. You know… the songs that you play all the way through and you find yourself saying… “ummm what the fuck…” Yeah, this song is super dope – its loud, its aggressive, and just completely off the wall. A cacophony of sound – Devin Martin has made a track that will tickle some of your toes and for others it will make the taste in your mouth go straight sour. That said, I encourage you to listen to the 2:20 mark where the track appears to pick up a more structured feel. The vibe of this track is intense – know that before listening to it and you may be in for a pleasant, self dubbed (by Devin Martin) slamstep, surprise.

And I quote: “With a distorted vocal intro perfectly matched with a disco-esque, synth-pop progression, “Pain Game” by Fonik quickly transforms the seemingly innocuous introduction into a filthy dubstep battlefield. Doubling the bass, adding in a heavy dose of lasers, and re-introducing the haunting vocal chorus, Fonik creates an incredibly rich sound-scape ready to melt some faces in promotion of Betamorph’s “Altered Dimensions EP” out now on Beatport!”

Dada Life released their much anticipated new single “Kick Out the Epic Motherf**ker” last week. It only took a week for the Austrian group A.G to release their rework. With over 4000 views and 1100 downloads in 3 days, the song has been a huge success for the group – damn.
